I think it is 180 days after purchase for some types of GAP insurance. There are different types so you need to do a bit of research.

Perhaps it is a throwback from the gear change paddles on other cars. On my Honda HR-V, it makes perfect sense.

As advised by My rugby, the item that I described in the boot is actually the 12 volt battery and not a bass woofer.

I would imagine coasting with some brake regen applied. Otherwise why would they fit it.

My dealership is fairly quiet, it's the engine that is loud apparently.

I've just been looking at the online openR link document. In the section on "ACTIVATING SERVICES" it is apparent that this has to be activated and everything agreed to in order for the system to be in any way useful. Towards the end of the section, under "Expiry of the services" ...

That is good to know. Maybe @ToadilyInsane will feedback if this fixes their issue and also what the other problems are that they are encountering.

What you are saying

When you change the profile you get 1 driver seat setting

is contradictory. Or maybe I am just not understanding what you are saying.
