Re: Austral Info system
Mine is around 7 months old since delivery and built Dec 2023, the Dab radio icons still don't show radio channels. The info screen occasionally locks up and flickers but will reset once the car is turned off.. The filler cap oil sludge has cleared over the summer and will keep a close eye over the ...

Re: Possible tyre pressure monitor system workaround.
tpms 1.jpg tpms2.jpg TPMS Update, Following my post above I have now installed the TPMS display accessory to the Austral. It was an older TPMS unit from a few years ago. Newer versions are available, but slightly more rectangular in shape, so be wary of the space you have to fit the display into, a...

Possible tyre pressure monitor system workaround.
Ain't tried this yet but it's on my " to do "bucket list. Take a look at the picture below. You may have seen these tyre pressure monitor systems on our well known auction sites. Now for those who like me, would prefer to have live tyre pressures on display instead of just a basic warning ...

Re: HU Display not displaying after switching user.
I can confirm the above post. If the main driver profile has the Head up display activated, and you change over the profile for driver 2 when needed, enter the "Vehicle" menu TAB, select cockpit and activate HUD to be the fav button. Then the display will default to the main driver profile...

Re: Tyre pressure display missing
Renault rang recently to confirm NO.. Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) is fitted to uk austral models only a tyre pressure monitor ( TPM ). So that's how you determine the type you have. Very crafty Renault in how you have cleverly worded your specification literature. So just for you to know,...

Re: Tyre pressure display missing
I totally and utterly agree with you. All the unnecessary tech that is on this Iconic spec that I doubt I will use, to then find the one item that I would have used is not present. What are Renault thinking ? Let me use an actual example, my last car which was a Nissan Qashqai was being driven along...

Re: Tyre pressure display missing
Well well, I stand corrected, It appears that the tyre pressure monitor screen as shown on the electronic manual guide is non existent and replaced with a red warning light on the cluster should a tyre pressure malfunction take place. It is up to the owner to regularly check tyre pressures and not e...

Trackers on this site
After being logged in to update a few posts tonight, maybe for around 15 minutes, my browser informed that it had rejected 47 tracking requests. Be wise all.

Re: Creamy sludge under oil filler cap.
As an update, I have now completed around 3,000 miles and no new sludge deposits have appeared. Quite a few motorway runs have been done and the warmer weather may have helped keep the engine from getting so cold at night. If it starts happening again as our nights get colder, then we will know for ...

Re: Tyre pressure display missing
I am pretty sure it is now a cumpulsory safety item nowadays, I would certainly expect it to be on an Iconic model from late DEC 2023.
I am popping it into the dealer tomorrow to see if they can uncover where this tyre menu lives.
will let you know.
