I'm enjoying my Austral since Dec 2023. So far, very happy, especially with the built-in Google.

Just wondering if anyone has good tips on voice commands to operate the various car features.

Took me a bit of searching to discover that the front and rear window heaters are referred to as "defroster"; so, for example, need to say "turn on/off rear defroster".

Is there a voice command to show/hide the heads-up display?

Would be good to have a full list of which car functions are and aren't covered. Does seem to be a case of just trying things we think might work and seeing what does which seems a bit odd.

When bored driving I find myself chatting to Google. "Hey Google, sing me a song" :P

I find sometimes that Google assistant either doesn't respond at all or says its done something and doesn't.
In particular it has a problem with changing radio stations.
I will be playing one station and ask it to put on another station, it responds with "Ok playing Radio 5 Live" on radio and then just leaves it on existing channel.
I suspect this maybe to do with FM / DAB stations.

3 of us asked google the same question relating to a hotel address which she could not decipher for any of us. I told the voice she was "crap" and she came back to say " ohh my, I'll try to do better next time" it mad us chuckle.

To be honest, I don't bother with the built in stuff. Linked my phone via BT and WiFi and do everything through that.

It's like the built in stuff, only more responsive and updated frequently.

I never touched the free Orange data package that came with the car.

Plus the phone maps have satellite imagery whereas the built in stuff doesn't.
