Ain't tried this yet but it's on my " to do "bucket list.

You may have seen these tyre pressure monitor systems on our well known auction sites.
Now for those who like me, would prefer to have live tyre pressures on display instead of just a basic warning light, I see no reason why these blue tooth valve caps can't be screwed onto the tyre valve stems and the digital display plugged into the front power adaptor socket by the usb "c" sockets so that the tyre pressures will be visible as we drive.
The original warning light triangle from renault will still be active if needed because the original sensors are internal in the tyre, but we will also then have the actual tyre pressures being shown live aswell on a very compact unit. I have also seen a circular display screen smaller than the one shown in the picture if you wanted it so.
I'll give it a try and let you know.

Possible tyre pressure monitor system workaround.
Following my post above I have now installed the TPMS display accessory to the Austral.
It was an older TPMS unit from a few years ago.
Newer versions are available, but slightly more rectangular in shape, so be wary of the space you have to fit the display into, as the console is quite snug on the left side of the power socket on a uk car.
I have ordered a newer version from an auction site to check the fitting space in case I need a spare one later on.
They are quite inexpensive, and even cheaper on ALI X !!!!!!
I will feed this back when I have tried the new version.
Each tyre now displays the live tyre pressures as you drive and warns you if it falls outside its limits.
As a backup, the Renault system is still operational and will warn you also if you have a pressure issue, but as you know, it is just a general warning triangle, which is a bit disappointing from Renault.
With the Renault system you won't know which tyre is having a problem, but with what I have just fitted, you will.
The wheel sensors are a little large for my liking but are locked in place with a spanner and a locking nut that is included in the Kit.
Modern Internal sensors are invisible inside the tyre while these caps are externally fitted to the tyre valves. Its a small issue however to put up with, for peace of mind.
You could of course go for the internal sensor version but I guess this would void the warranty as you have to remove the Renault version. Correct me if I am wrong.
